The beautiful art form of Middle Eastern Dance has brought a richness into my life that has encouraged me to grow in so many ways.
Originally I started taking classes as an alternative to working out at the gym in college. I was fortunate enough to learn immediately from Kathryn Ferguson, my inspiration for this dance. I quickly fell in love with the movements, the freedom of expression and the powerful feminine energy that filled the room when we had class.
After moving to Arizona, I met a lovely group of women, The Gypsy Chicks. They invited me to dance with them, and quickly I became a member of the troupe, performing at festivals, parties, restaurants and many more unique places.
In 2007 I became a teacher, fusing together elements of my modern dance and jazz experience with the technique of bellydance. I now teach four classes a week, including fitness classes that also blend elements of bellydance and other dance forms together. I am an AFAA certified fitness instructor.
Currently I reside in the most beautiful place on Earth, Sedona, Arizona with my husband and family of pets. I have a lovely business as a dance instructor, performer with The Gypsy Chicks and am the publisher of Four Corners Magazine and Shimmy In The Spirit of Bellydance Magazine.
